Alert issued over oil spill in Laois

Laois County Council is warning motorists to expect disruptions

Laois County Council has issued an alert to motorists following an oil spill. 

The Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal Districts Temporary Traffic Management teams issued the alert for Rathdowney.    

The oil spill is located along the R433 between L1537 Johnstown Glebe and L5539 Graiguevallagh.

Laois County Council said traffic disruption was likely for a number of hours during a clean up operation.
