Big change coming in weather as freezing temperatures forecast

Temperatures are set to plummet in Laois prompting Met Éireann to issue a weather warning.   

The Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning was issued for the entire country as temperatures look set to drop below zero. 

Met Éireann has warned of potential travel disruption and motorists are being warned of “hazardous travel conditions on road and underfoot”. 

“Temperatures falling between -1 and -3 degrees generally. Sharp frost and icy conditions,” Met Éireann stated. 

The warning comes into place in Laois on Friday, February 13 at 9pm until Saturday, February 14 at 10am.
