This meeting with is to discuss his concerns about recent thefts and general anti social behaviour in the area of late, with particular attention being paid to the fact we are entering our busy period.

The Portlaoise Downtown traders group say the meeting agenda affects all traders so it is important there is as good a turn out as possible, to show that business is taking this seriously and wants to help with the solution.

The meeting follows a number of incidents in the town in which property was damaged, thefts were carried out and people were attacked.
