Warning over scam sellers
Laois Offaly Gardai issued advice after a number of people were scammed while trying to buy mobile phones online.
“We are currently investigating a number of frauds where individuals were defrauded while attempting to buy high end mobile phones through social media platforms. Injured parties are at a loss of approximately €1,500,” Gardai said.
Gardai have published a range of advice on their social media platforms.
They are urging people to exercise caution when either buying or selling goods online.
