Joyce Byrne and Livia Balkova.
Heywoood Community School in Laois has wished their staff members, who are running the Dublin Marathon this weekend to raise funds for Debra Ireland, the best of luck.
Joyce Byrne and Livia Balkova are getting behind Abbeyleix woman Emma Fogarty who suffers from the rare incurable epidermolysis bullosa (EB) or Butterfly Skin, which causes her incredible pain as her skin comes off at a mere touch.
It comes after Emma and her friend, Hollywood Actor Colin Farrell appeared on last week's Late Late show to talk about the charity Debra Ireland which supports the 300 people living with EB in Ireland.
On Sunday The Penguin star will be completing the marathon with Emma joining him for the final four kilometres by being pushed in a wheelchair. Earlier this week Emma raised her fundraising target to a whopping €1 million.
Heywood Community School have weighed in behind the efforts and wished their staff members all the best: "Best of Luck to our staff members Joyce Byrne & Livia Balkova who are running the Dublin Marathon this Sunday to raise money for Emma Fogarty & our chosen school charity Debra Ireland."
