The Irish Heart Foundation Mobile Health Unit is set to visit Portlaoise next week, in hopes that people will "get checked before damage is done."
Taking place next Tuesday, February 11, all are welcome to come along to the unit where staff will be conducting free blood pressure and pulse checks. No appointment is necessary.
The check-ups will be held at the Motor Tax Office car park by County Hall and will take place between 10am and 3:45pm.

With heart disease and strokes being some most common causes of death in Ireland, the charity's mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability, and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.
Along with this, the organisation is also at the heart of multiple charity and community initiatives, hoping to educate the general public on these conditions.
