Five day roadworks closure in Laois near Slieve Bloom Mountains

Road closure in Laois

A Laois road near the main route around the Slieve Bloom Mountains will be closed for five days this June to allow for drainage repairs.

Laois County Council will close the road in Clonlyon, Coolagh, which is between Clonaslee and Cadamsdown, from Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21, from 8am to 6pm each day.

The closure is to allow for "conventional trenching to install a 4” duct".

A diversion route will take drivers via the Tullamore road into Offaly via Freagh, Newgate and Cappagowlan.
