The Portlaoise to Stradbally road is open again to two lane traffic, following the clearance of a collision between two cars earlier this morning.
The accident happened on the N80 near the Rock of Dunamaise before 11am. No injuries have been reported.
A stop go system which had been place on the road has since been lifted.
