Emergency service are attending the scene of an incident on the M7 motorway near Portlaoise.
Witness reports say Gardaí and County Laois Fire and Rescue Service are on the scene near junction 16.
A incident appears to have taken place near the Junction 16 Motorway slip road on the north bound carriageway of the busy Dublin/Limerick/Cor Road.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland has reported a fire.

The AA say a vehicle caught fire in the hard shoulder of the M7 southbound between J15 Ballybrittas and J16 Portlaoise East.
Care is advised as smoke may affect visibility.
