Volunteers representing over 40 local clubs and organisations from Mountmellick, Clonaslee, Rosenallis, and Rathangan gathered between 7–8pm for light refreshments.

Attendees also availed of a photo opportunity to mark their receipt of Community Fund support.

The fund, approved by Mountmellick Credit Union's members at the most recent AGM, helps a wide range of social, cultural and sporting groups within the Credit Union’s common bond.

Each group received a modest donation to support projects, events, or ongoing upkeep.

"This is part of Mountmellick Credit Union’s commitment to supporting community life," a representative has said.

"This year’s application process was fully online for the first time, streamlining the experience for both applicants and board members," they praised.

Applications for the 2026 Community Fund will open again early in the year.

Updates will be shared via the Credit Union’s website and social channels.
