Cable laying work along the N80 in Laois is contributing to traffic tailbacks between Portlaoise and Mountmellick.
Motorists have reported delays on Friday, March 24 in both directions as a stop go system is in place to facilitate the works.
One driver who contact the Leinster Express Laois Live said traffic was at a crawl on the national route which is the main artery between Portlaoise and Tullamore.
