IN PICTURES: Former Laois Main Street AIB Branch goes on sale at 'bargain' price

The derelict bank branch is being sold along with a Georgian House

A derelict former AIB bank branch on the Main Street in Portarlington has gone up for sale.  

The landmark building had fallen into a state of disrepair leading to Laois County Council placing it on the derelict sites register. Auctioneer Matt Dunne said the imposing Georgian building is “crying out to be restored” as it hits the market with a guideprice of €125,000 along with an adjoining site for €25,000.
