There were 'shrieks of joy' in Coláiste Íosagáin in Portarlington on Wednesday when students received their Junior Cert Results. Students were greeted by Principal Justin Brown and Mr Mitchell as they arrived into the school's canteen with the results envelopes in hand. "Hugs, laughter and phone calls home marked this lovely celebration of the long hours of study and work put into projects, CBAs and exams that assessed academic performance over the past three years," said Mr Brown. 


"We are so proud of all our students achievements including Hannah O`Donnell who is the daughter of our very own science & mathematics teacher Mr. Fintan O`Donnell.


"We were delighted to see so many of our students back in this morning ready for business as  they started their day with a celebratory breakfast to mark their excellent results yesterday. It is a busy week for our school and students. On Sunday some of those who received results yesterday - Lucas Prendergast, Ciaran O'Connell, The Moran Twins, Darragh Doyle, Luke Lanigan, Kolbe Wrafter and Oisin Murphy will line out for the Minor Portarlington Panel against Portlaoise on Sunday."
