Portlaoise road to temporarily close

Flooding closes Tipperary roads

Laois County Council has announced plans to temporarily close a road in Portlaoise later this month.

The council said it will temporarily close the Tower Hill Road L-21207, from Railway Street to the Ridge Road, from 6am on Monday, July 31  to 11pm on Wednesday, August 2.

The road closure is necessary to facilitate a crane on the road to lift modular classrooms into Dunamase College.

Diversions will be clearly signposted. A map indicating the routes to be closed and the alternative routes will be available for inspection at www.laois.ie and Áras an Chontae, Portlaoise.
