Death notice of  young child who died in Portlaoise collision published

A death notice has been published for the young girl who tragically died following a collision on Wednesday. 

Rosaleen McDonagh, aged 3, was seriously injured in a collision with a car at Cosby Avenue in Fairgreen, Portlaoise at lunchtime on Wednesday. 

She was pronounced dead at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise a short time later. A post mortem is expected to take place today. 

Her heartbroken family were planning to have a rosary said at the hospital this evening. 

“Rosaleen (Rosie) McDonagh 23 Blueberry Hill, Esker Hills, Portlaoise (following an accident). Dearly loved daughter of Bernard and Victoria and dear sister of Bernie, Julia ,Valerie, Pracilla and Joleen. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken parents, brother and sisters, grandparents Willie and Winnie McCarthy and Bernard and Margaret McDonagh, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbours, relatives and her many friends,” her death notice reads

It heartbreakingly concludes: "Resting with The Angels".
