Many poignant tributes have been paid to Rosaleen (Rosie) McDonagh, whose heartbroken family has announced the details of her funeral.
The Portlaoise girl, who lost her life after being knocked down in the Fairgreen area of Laois will, will be laid to rest in Mountmellick after Requiem Mass in Portlaoise.
Rosie, aged three, is dearly loved daughter of Bernard and Victoria and dear sister to Bernie, Julia, Valerie, Priscilla and Jolene. She is also deeply regretted by her heartbroken parents, brother and sisters, grandparents Willie and Winnie McCarthy and Bernard and Margaret McDonagh, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbours, relatives and her many friends.

"RIP my beautiful little gran niece. You're an angel now. Watch over your daddy mummy brother and sisters. Gone to soon only a baby forever," wrote Shirley McDonagh.
"Deepest sympathies to all Rosealeen family. Taken so young. I hope you find strength and love May Rosie fly high in heaven and protect you all Rip Rosie," was the message from the Harding family in Portlaoise.
"So sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful little angel Rosealeen. Heaven has gained another angel. May Rosealeen rest in peace," wrote Stephen Weafer.
"So incredibly sorry for the tragic loss of your beautiful little girl. My heart breaks for you all. I don't know you personally but as a parent I want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you all," was the message from Anne Balfe.
"Sincere condolences to family and friends on the passing of Rosie. May Rosie fly high with the angels and may she rest in peace," said Patrick Dowdall & family The Swan.
"Beautiful angel fly high," said one Laois mother.
Gardaí continue to investigate the circumstances which led to the girl's death on August 30 in the estate off the Mountmellick Road in Portlaoise.
The remains of Rosie, aged 3, of 23 Blueberry Hill, Esker Hills, Portlaoise repose in Moloneys Funeral Home Mountmellick on Sunday, September 2 from 2pm. Recital of The Rosary at 4pm.
Her remains will be removed at 5pm to SS Peter & Paul’s Church Portlaoise arriving for 6pm. Her Requiem Mass will be celebrated on on Monday, September 4 at 12 noon. Burial after in St Joseph's Cemetery Mountmellick.
