Mulhalls SuperValu in Portlaoise has paid tribute on the passing of their late employee and colleague Maureen Reynolds.

Maureen, late of Beladd Upper, Portlaoise and formerly of Barking, Essex, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity, at Tullamore hospital.

She was the dearly loved wife and best friend of Robert (Bob) and the adored mother of Sophia and Shane. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter and son, her sister Ann, brother John, in-laws, family circle, friends, neighbours and work colleagues in Mulhall's SuperValu.

The supermarket on Lyster Square paid tribute to the deceased who passed away on September 23.

"Our Maureen was an incredible work colleague and will be a massive loss to all at Mulhalls. Maureen was so cheerful and full of smiles, she would always brighten your day. Always making time for a quick chat and laugh.

"As you can imagine we are all in deep shock over Maureen's passing so please bear with us as we navigate through this difficult time," said the tribute.

Maureen's remains reposed at St Peter’s (Church of Ireland) Church from 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 26, with Service of Evening Prayer at 8 pm. All are welcome.

Reposing at home from 4 pm with Rosary at 7pm on Wednesday, September 27.
