Joseph (Joe) Delaney Wolfhill, Athy, Kildare / Portlaoise, Laois
The death as occurred Joseph (Joe) Delaney, Crossard, Wolfhill, Athy, Co. Kildare in Portlaoise hospital, surrounded by his loving daughters Geraldine, Christina and Sinead. Predeceased by his wife Sheila, daughter Margaret, and his grandson Fionn. Deeply regretted by his loving daughters Geraldine, Christina and Sinead, his sisters and brothers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his daughter Geraldine's residence, 1 New Park, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, on Friday the 5th of January from 4pm until 8pm with prayers at 7:30pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of SS Mary and Laurence Crookstown on Saturday the 6th for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The Irish Guide Dogs Association. Donation box in church.

Patrick Earley - Portarlington

The death took place on January 1 of Patrick (Paddy) Earley, Bracklone Street, Portarlington, Laois

Suddenly at his residence. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Carina, sons Stephen and Noah, father P.J., mother Ann, sister Karen, brother-in-law Paul, sister-in-law Nicola, nephews Tadhg, Oisín and Fionnán, parents-in-law P.J. and Jean, uncles, aunts, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Wednesday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11:20am arriving St Michael's Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael's Cemetery Portarlington.

Bertie Mulhall - Mountrath

The death has occurred of Bertie Mulhall, Roskelton, Mountrath. Died January 3, 2024 (unexpectedly), at St. James’s Hospital Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Arabella and Robert, brothers John, George, Richard, Martin and Eddie, sister Mabel and Gladys. Sadly missed by his sisters Nowell and Joan, brother-in-law Paul, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath (eircode R32Y661) on Friday 5th January from 6 o'clock, concluding with Funeral Prayers at 7.30 p.m. Removal on Saturday afternoon to Roskelton Church (eircode R32RR77) for Funeral Service at 3 o'clock, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Kathleen Hassett - Errill

The death took place on January 1 of Kathleen Hassett (nee Meehan), Lisduff, Errill, Co. Laois.

Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family in her 100th year.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, her parents Michael and Mary and brother Denis.

Sadly missed by her adoring family, Michael, Tom, Marian (Shanahan), Denis, Breeda (Harty), Pat-Joe and Seamus, sons-in-law Liam and Pat, daughters-in-law Mary-Ann, Ann, Julie, Linda and Jacqui, her 17 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, her dear neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence (Eircode R32 DDP8) on Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening from 4 pm pausing for prayers at 8 pm both evenings. Removal on Thursday morning to Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church Errill, arriving for Requiem mass at 11 o'clock followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery Templetouhy.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Laois Hospice.  House private on Thursday morning please.

David Parkinson - Mountmellick

The death took place on January 1 of David (Dave) Parkinson, Connolly Street, Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Died unexpectedly January 1st at home.

Beloved son of the late Christy and Brigid Parkinson and dear brother of the late Robert.

Former Employee of Central Garage, Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Grace, her partner Matt, his siblings Val (UK), Claire Morrisey (Galway), Ann Connelly (Spiddal), Eddie (Pollagh), Margaret (Mountmellick), Christy (Mountmellick), John (Mountmellick), Gerard (Pollagh), brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, former work colleagues, neighbours, relatives and his many friends.

Reposing in Moloney's Funeral Home on Thursday from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm. Reposing in Moloney's Funeral Home Friday from 10am until Removal at 10.45am to St Joseph's Church, Mountmellick for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St Josephs Cemetery.
