Elizabeth (Betty) Stanley- Ballacolla

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Stanley (née Drennan) Rahandrick, Ballacolla,  R32 CH79 on February 20, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her first husband Frank Fitzpatrick (1970), her sister Moyra and brother Pat. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken husband Jim, her children Eamon, Theresa, Erwin and Sineàd, sons-in-law Andrzej and Damien, daughter-in-law Cora, grandchildren Ava and James, brother Arthur, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.Rest in Peace

Reposing at her residence on Friday afternoon February 23rd. from 2 o'clock pausing for prayers at 7.30. Removal on Saturday morning February 24th. to St. Canice's Church, Clough arriving for Requiem mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Bordwell Cemetery. House private on Saturday morning please.

Louis McKelvey- Rathdowney

The death has occurred of Louis McKelvey of 17 Sheehane, Roscrea, Tipperary / Rathdowney on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and eight children. Predeceased by his mother Babs, brother Anthony and his grand-daughter Taylor Louise. Deeply missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Conor, Philip, Damien, James and Paul, daughters Cathriona, Louise and Mary, their husbands, wife's and partners Louise, Andrew, Richie, Nikki, Éamonn, Elaine, Steven and Maeve, his sisters Mag and Trish, brothers Bobby and Pat, grandchildren Lee, Sarah, Madison, Andy, Kate, Ben, Laoise Mai, Evan, Noah, Jack, Caitlin, Eve, Ria and Robyn, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Tierney's Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53NY70) on Friday evening from 5.00pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 11.30am arriving in St.Cronan's Church, Roscrea (E53PK82) for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining new cemetery.

Family flowers only please donations if desired to The Milford Hospice.

Eddie (Fisher) Doyle- Ballylinan

The death has occurred of Eddie (Fisher) Doyle Aughanure, Ballylinan, R14 PW57 / Athy, Kildare on Saturday, February 17.  Fisher passed away suddenly in Portlaoise Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his daughter Donna, son-in-law Liam, parents Maureen & Jimmy, brother Liam and sister Mary. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughters Tracey, Karen, Louise and Ashling, grandchildren Shauna, Mikey, Rory, Mollie, Jamie, Daithi, Paudie, Davy and Jack, sons-in-law Michael, Barry and Neil, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence (R14 PW57) from Tuesday (February 20th) with Rosary on Wednesday evening at 8pm. Removal on Thursday afternoon to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Ballylinan for Requiem Mass at 2.30pm. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Heart Foundation.

Noel Devoy-  Stradbally

The death has occurred of Noel Devoy, Kilmurry, Stradbally, R32 T6K3 on Saturday, February 17, 2024.  Noel passed away peacefully in the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise in his 91st year. Predeceased by his loving parents, Thomas and Margaret, his brothers TJ, Liam and Finn. Deeply regretted by his loving sister Eithne (Boyle), his nephew and niece Noel and Colette, brother in-law Denis, his grandnephew, grandnieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.May he rest in peace

Reposing at his home in Kilmurry, Stradbally R32T6k3 on Monday evening from 6.pm to 8pm, with recital of the Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Tuesday morning at 11.30am to arrive at the Church of the Assumption, The Heath for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Which can be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/the-heath-webcam/

Interment to follow in adjoining cemetery.

Martin Cuddy- Coolrain

The death has occurred of Martin Cuddy Derrynaseera, Coolrain, Portlaoise on February 17th 2024. (Suddenly) at his home.

Predeceased by his parents Julia and Jack, sister Sr. Bernadette, brother Sean.

Deeply regretted by his loving siblings, Mary (Woods), Michael, Margaret (Bergin), Ann (O'Connor), Philomena (Delaney) and Teresa, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Martin Rest In Peace.

Reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home Castletown, Eircode R32 TN84, this Wednesday evening (Feb. 21st.) from 5 pm pausing for prayers at 7 pm. Removal on Thursday morning (Feb. 22nd) to St. Fergal's Church Camross (Eircode R32 VY79) for Funeral Mass at 11 am. followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mattie Byrne - Mountrath

The death has occurred of Mattie Byrne Patrick Street, Mountrath. Died 19th February 2024, unexpectedly at his home. Beloved husband of Ann, and father to Fergal, Barry and Matthew. Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Niamh, Fianna, Kevin and Róisín, daughters-in-law Tina and Olivia, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Mattie’s Soul Rest In Peace. 

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Wednesday evening (February 21st) from 7 o'clock, concluding with Rosary at 9 o'clock. Removal on Thursday morning (February 22nd) to St. Fintan's Church Mountrath (eircode R32X338), for Requiem Mass at 10 o’clock, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.
