Corcoran's Pub in Rathdowney has paid tribute following the untimely death of an employee who died suddenly in Croatia.
The pub made a statement on social media after the Siniša (Shinny) Dugac.
"It is with profound shock and sadness that we inform you of the sudden and untimely death of our dear friend and colleague, Siniša(Shinny) Dugac on Friday 1st November while on a visit home to Croatia.
"Shinny was a well-regarded member of our business - Midland Milk Traders and Corcoran’s Bar where he worked hard and was always willing to lend a hand and help out in any way he could. He was very well known locally and always had a kind word or smile for you when you’d meet him. Shinny wasn’t just our co-worker but our good friend as well. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
"We pass our heartfelt condolences to his wife Silvija, three children Nives, Ines and Leonardo and to his extended family and friends in Ireland and Croatia at this extremely sad time," it said.
The pub said the deceased was laid to on Tuesday, November 5 in his native country.
"May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace," concluded the facebook post.
