The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Kavanagh, Derrymoyle, Carlow / Laois on May 14 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.
Beloved son of the late Margaret and Patrick and brother of the late Peter. Pat will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marian, daughters Audrey, Emma and Karen, sons-in-law Shane, Eoin and Shane, sister Ann, grandchildren Evan, Sam, Clodagh, Ben, Jamie, Daire, Caoimhe, Peter and pre-deceased by his grand-daughter Ruth, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at McGuill’s Funeral Home, Bennekerry, R93 E5N7 on Friday from 4pm. concluding with Prayers at 7.30p.m. Removal on Saturday afternoon to The Church of the Holy Cross, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2.30p.m. followed by private cremation.

John Wall (formerly of Dr. Murphy Place, Portlaoise and Coolock, Dublin 17) May 13th., 2025 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Silvergrove Nursing Home, Clonee, John, dear father of Gordon, Marie and Eamonn. Predeceased by his daughter Isabell, mother Annie, sisters Kathleen and Sally and brother Thomas; sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren David and Sean, daughter-in-law Lisa, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Clonsilla on Sunday evening (May 18th) between 4pm and 6pm. Removal on Monday morning (May 19th) to St. Ciaran’s Church, Hartstown arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery. Helen Melia (née Maher)- Portarlington / Portlaoise
The death has occurred of Helen Melia (nee Maher, Treascon, Portarlington and formerly of Summerhill, Portlaoise.
Died peacefully on May 13 surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her infant son Kevin, parents Tom and Julia, brother Paddy, sisters Judy and Ann. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Derek and Alan and their father Louie, adoring grandchildren Rebecca, Karen, Caolan and Cara, daughters-in-law Kimberly and Abby, brothers Tom and Jim, sisters Winnie and Jean, her holiday buddy Rosie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many close friends. May She Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Thursday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 9:20am arriving St Michael's Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to The Garden Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium for Committal Service at 1:30pm.

Eucharia Meskill - Strabally
The death has occurred of Eucharia Meskill (née Kingston), Agoura House, Kileen, Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly California, USA and Rosetown, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away peacefully in St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Dublin on 13th May 2025.
Predeceased by her late husband Noel and sister Elizabeth. Sadly missed by her much loved son Brian, sisters Mary and Ursula, brothers Joe, John, David, Edward and Richard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, her very dear friend Vanessa and her husband Tom. May Eucharia Rest in Peace.
Eucharia will repose at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 15th May, with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday 16th May at 11am in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally. Interment to follow in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin.
