Christopher (Noel) Monahan- Whitehall, Castlepollard, Westmeath / Rathdowney, Laois
The death has occurred on Thursday, June 19th of Christopher (Noel) Monahan, Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Rathdowney, Co. Laois; peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

 May Christy Rest In Peace.

Christopher's Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 21st in the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, Co. Laois (R32 AX65) at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Errill Cemetery.

John Dunne- Clonaslee

John Dunne, Clonabeg, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died peacefully on the 19th of June 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Nuala and brother Pe.

John will be missed by his sons John and James, daughters Mary, Fionnula, Margaret and Joanne, his 12 treasured grandchildren, his daughter-in-law Siobhán, sons-in-law Thomas, Peter and Patrick, his brothers Tom and Mike, his sisters Mary, Peggy, Bridie, Annie and Katch, nieces, nephews, extended family, close neighbours and friends. May John's Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence, on Friday the 20th of June from 12noon - 8pm. Family time only after 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday 21st of June at 11am in St Manman's Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman's Cemetery, Clonaslee. John's Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.

John’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time.

Elizabeth (Betty) Cass (née Carroll)- Abbeyleix

Betty passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Hugh, brother Paddy and son-in-law Vincent. Deeply regretted by her sons Hugh, Philip and Patrick, daughters Mai and Bernadette, adored grandchildren Hugh and Fionn, brothers Walter, John, Jim and Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Betty Rest in Peace.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest adjoining The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix from 4pm. on Friday with prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am. in The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery Ballyroan Road Abbeyleix.

The Mass can be viewed on Abbeyleix Parish Webcam.

Maria Redmond - Graiguecullen

The death has occurred of Maria Redmond (née Mulleague) Spindlewood, Graiguecullen and formerly of Athlone who died on June 16 peacefully, surrounded by her heartbroken family after a long illness in the care of the Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford.

Dearly loved wife of Brian and adored mother of Ellen and Lily. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters, father Bernard, brother Lawrence, sisters Lizzy and Letitia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and her colleagues in the Seven Oaks Hotel. Predeceased by her mother Betty.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (R93 H308) on Friday, June 20 from 5pm to 8pm with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen (R93 EO48) followed by cremation service at 1pm in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to Waterford Hospice Movement.
