Anne Murphy - Portlaoise

The death took place on Monday, February 23 of Anne Murphyof 2 Borris Meadows, Portlaoise, Co Laois and formerly of Kernanstown, Carlow.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on February 23 at her home.

Predeceased by her parents William and Veronica and grandson Dylan.

Beloved mother of William, Pamela, Philip, Clare Rose, Ricky, Tanya and Padraig and cherished sister of Tony, William, Veronica, Siobhan, Rose Mary and Jackie.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchild, son-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Anne will repose at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (R93 C863) on Wednesday February 25th from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday morning at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Sq., for cremation Service at 11.30am approx.

Noel McRedmond - Clonaslee

The death took place on Sunday, February 22 of Noel McRedmond, Kilclare, Durrow, Tullamore, Offaly / Clonaslee, Laois. Formerly of Clarahill, Clonaslee, Co. Laois.

Predeceased by his parents, Alice and Billy, his brothers, Pat and Baby William and his sister, Cathy.

Noel passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Noel will be forever missed by his devoted and loving family, his wife, Máire, daughter Gráinne, son Rónan, his adoring grandchildren, Aoibhín, Conn, Seána, Cian, Clíodhna and Éadaoin, son-in-law Hugh, daughter-in-law Alice, his brothers, Michael, Thomas and David, his sisters, Breeda Hally (Ballaghmore) and Sadie Rigney (Ballaghmore), his niece, Niamh Gorman and his nephew, Gearóid Walsh, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Noel will repose at St. Joseph’s Oratory, Cappincur, Tullamore (R35 ND80) on Tuesday, February 24, from 3 pm until rosary at 7 pm.

Noel’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Saint Manman’s Church, Clonalsee (R32 N6E5) on Wednesday, February 25 at 2 pm. Followed by burial in Clonaslee Cemetery.

Mary Hyland - Castletown

The death took place on Saturday, February 21 of Mary (May) Hyland (née Killeen), late of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Castletown, Co. Laois.

Passed away peacefully, in her 100th year, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Atlanta House Nursing Home, Bray. Beloved wife of the late John, adored Mum of John, Mary and the late Bernie and Eugene, dearly loved Nanny of Alan, Shane, Jonathan, Jessica, Lauren, Andrew and Anthony and great-Nanny of Willow, Shane, Harlee and Amelia, lovingly remembered by her brother Jim, family and friends.

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Tuesday (24th February) from 4.00pm-6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (25th February) at 10.00am in St. Peter’s Church, Little Bray followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Mary Dunne - Castletown / Mountrath

The death took place on Sunday, February 22 of Mary Dunne (née Parkinson), Danganroe, Castletown, and formerly of Clonard and Fr. O’Connor Crescent, Mountrath, Co. Laois.

Mary passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving and heartbroken family. Predeceased by her husband Eamon, mother Sarah, brothers Joe and Frank.

Mary will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, daughters Annette and Christine, sons Michael, Seamus, Séan, Oliver and Noel, son-in-law Billy, partners Ash, Angela and Ian, her 10 grandchildren, great-granddaughter Croía, sisters Betty and Peggy, brother Billy, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Noel, extended family, her many neighbours and friends.

Mary will repose at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath eircode R32Y661 on Monday evening 23rd February from 6.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Tuesday morning 24th February from her residence Danganroe, to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath eircode R32X338, for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery.

Pam Talbot - Ballacolla

The death took place on Saturday, February 21 of Pam Talbot (née Jackson), Coole, Ballacolla, Laois

Pam passed away peacefully in her 97th year, in the tender and loving care of all the staff at Brookhaven Nursing home.

Predeceased by her husband Bob, her daughter Shirley (Bennett), sister Ruby (Dann), grandson Robert and niece Hilda (Pratt).

Pam is deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her son Robin, daughter in law Ann, grandchildren Karyn, Sarah and Ruth and great-grandson Joshua, son in law Neil Bennett, nieces Carol (Sullivan) and Clare (Drought) and by her dear friend Kathleen Henneberry, extended family, friends and neighbours

Pam's funeral cortege will arrive at Killermogh Church, Killermogh, Ballacolla, Co. Laois R32 NA02for her funeral service on Tuesday 24th February 2026 at 2pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Maura Begadon - Cullohill 

The death took place on Friday, February 20 of Maura Begadon, Draklands Hse Nursing Home and late of Aughmacart, Cullohill, Co. Laois. Maura is predeceased by her parents Martin and Mary (Clancy), brothers Francis, Martie, Kieran, sister Stella, nephews, niece, grandnieces and grandnephew.

Maura will be sadly missed by her Son Brendan, granddaughters, Grace and Ursula, Brother, Sisters, God-Children, Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces, Grandnephews, Great Grandnieces and Great Grandnephews along with Brothers -in-law, Sisters-in-law, many cousins, the staff and residents of Drakelands Hse Nursing Home and neighbours in Aughmacart and surrounding areas.

Maura reposed in the Church of The Holy Trinity (R32CK11), Durrow, Co. Laois on Sunday 22nd February, from 4.00pm, concluding with funeral prayers at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass was on Monday 23rd February, at 11.00 am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank the management and staff of Drakelands Hse Nursing Home for the wonderful care rendered to Maura during her stay there. "Words cannot express our gratitude for them. They cared for Maura as we would have and perhaps even better."
