Laois student receives UCD Scholars Award

Stephanas Oboh received a UCD Scholars Award

A Laois student earned the UCD Scholars Award for her outstanding results in the Leaving Cert exams. Former Heywood Community School student Stephanas Oboh was joined by Heywood Principal Eamon Jackman and her family in O’Reilly Hall in UCD to congratulate her on the achievement.

The school said: "Congratulations to our Leaving Certificate 2025 student Stephanas Oboh who received a UCD Scholars Award during the week for her high academic achievement in her leaving Cert exams.

"Stephanas is currently studying Radiography and we wish her well for her studies and career ahead."

Entrance Scholar Awards are presented to the Leaving Certificate entrant with the highest points score from each school in the Republic of Ireland, provided the score is at least 500 points. These awards form part of a range of UCD initiatives designed to recognise exceptional students as they join the University.
