Met Éireann in stunning 'high pressure' forecast despite snap weather warning
Met Éireann has issued a stunning forecast for Ireland with high pressure on the way despite a snap weather warning for one county this October Bank Holiday weekend.
Donegal has been hit with a Status Yellow rainfall warning with Met Éireann warning that there will be "persistent and at times heavy rain," with the possibility of "localised flooding." The alert is in place from 2pm to 10pm on Sunday.
Beyond that, Met Éireann is watching an area of high pressure moving towards Ireland, bringing with it increased temperatures and settled weather.
Their outlook says there is "an improving picture for next week," adding that "high pressure will bring more settled conditions, although it will be fairly cloudy but generally dry apart from just some light rain or drizzle at times."
Their Saturday Bank Holiday forecast reads: "Dry with sunny spells for most of today, rain will move quickly southeastwards over the country during the afternoon. Highest temperatures 12 to 15 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds veering northwesterly as the rain clears.
