Woman accused of assault outside Portlaoise Gym

A woman appeared in court charged with assault causing harm outside a gym in Portlaoise. 

Amy Williamson, 42, of 14 The Green, Chapelstown Gate, Tullow Road, Carlow is accused of assault causing harm at Ben Dunne Gym, Lismard Business Park, Portlaoise on November 14 last. 

Solicitor Aonghus McCarthy said the alleged assault took place outside the gym. 

“This lady remained at the scene and was arrested,” he said. 

Judge Andrew Cody adjourned the case until June 15 for DPP directions.
