A Laois village that is gearing up for a major fundraiser this November to develop a playground and recreational facilities has launched its own podcast.

The Ballyroan Goes to Hollywood fundraiser consists of over 100 willing volunteers participating in seven short films set to be shown at an event in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on November 23.

With excitement building, Ballyroan Goes to Hollywood has launched a podcast to run alongside the event. "Ballyroan's Own" presented and produced by Bridin Kishander, will discuss Heritage, GAA, history of the school site, emigration and some great personalities from the village and of course all the behind scenes info in the lead up to the event.

The Ballyroan Community Development Association is behind the fundraiser which hopes to raise €150,000 to continue the development.

The Podcast, brought to you by ND Audit and Advisory,  is available on Spotify.
