The Laois Junior champions take on Westmeath's Crookedwood on Sunday with a first-ever Leinster title up for grabs

Clough/Ballacolla will provide major Laois interest in provincial action on Sunday, as the camogie side bid to cap their debut Leinster campaign by bringing a provincial title back to the county.

The Laois Camogie Junior champions face Westmeath's Crookedwood in the Leinster Junior ‘A’ Club Camogie Championship final at Castletown Geoghegan GAA, with a provincial crown now just one victory away.

Clough/Ballacolla are enjoying their first-ever Leinster campaign, an extraordinary achievement for a club that only played its first adult championship match in 2020. Six years later, they have already secured their first adult championship title and now have the opportunity to follow it up with provincial success.

Their journey to Sunday's final has involved three consecutive weekends of championship action. They began by defeating St Brigid's in the Laois Junior final before travelling to Meath to overcome Dunderry in the provincial series. Last weekend, they were back on the road again, making the trip to Ballinamere where they defeated Offaly's Ballinamere/Durrow to book their place in the final.

They now face another away assignment against Crookedwood, with the Westmeath representatives standing between them and a memorable Leinster title.

Clough/Ballacolla face Crookedwood at Castletown Geoghegan GAA on Sunday, November 8, with throw-in at 2.30pm.
