WATCH: Laois man hits the right note with Christmas song for parish

Stradbally man's festive song to fund Lourdes Parish pilgrimage

A young Stradbally man and budding entertainer has recorded a Christmas song to raise funds for the local Lourdes pilgrimage.

Ross Molloy explained why he has released his version of the popular Christmas song 'When a Child is Born' which was made famous by Johnny Mathis in the 1970s.

“Over the past two years, I have travelled to Lourdes with Portlaoise Parish. This year, our own Parish of Stradbally will travel as their own independent Parish.

“Lourdes is a place that brings enormous comfort, hope, and healing to so many people in our community. Unfortunately, not everyone who wishes to go can afford it. That’s why I decided to take on this recording - to do my part in helping make that journey possible for those who need it most. MORE BELOW PHOTO.

“Every single donation raised through this GoFundMe will go directly to the Stradbally Parish Lourdes Fund. No matter how big or small, your support will truly make a difference and help change someone’s life,” said Ross in his appeal.

Ross, aka Rossi M, is already a recording artist, having launched The County I Love The Best of All in 2023. He is also popular for his social media shows.

He shot to fame locally in 2019 when at the age of 13 he wrote and recorded 'Laois are on the up, Laois, Laois, Laois, they're gonna win the cup!'
