Alanah Conroy
An accomplished harpist is among the talented young women taking to the stage at the Laois Rose Selection final.
Sponsored by McConvilles Supervalu Mountmellick, Alanah Conroy, 21, caught the Rose of Tralee bug 10 years ago.
"I am in my final year in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, studying primary school teaching. I love music and have played the harp for the last 10 years, along with being involved in dance and drama.
"I have always wanted to apply to be the Laois rose, especially since attending the Rose of Tralee final in 2013.
"When the opportunity came around this year I said I would apply as it would be such a fun experience and I would get to meet others from across the county," she said.
Alanah is among 17 high achieving young Laois women to take to the stage in the Midlands Park Hotel this Easter Sunday night, April 9.
Tickets are €25 and will be available on the evening so get there early. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 7.30pm sharp.
See this week's Leinster Express for profiles of all 17 Laois Rose Entrants.
