Sensation Irish Country Music singing star Daniel O'Donnell is on his way back to Laois to reprise a Christmas show in Rathdowney with a Gospel flavour.
Daniel and this band will accompanied by Rathdowney Parish Choir a Christmas Gospel show in Rathdowney Parish Church in December this year.
Daniel, a friend of Fr Martin Delaney PP, paid a special visit to the Laois town last year for the opening of a new community garden. Daniel and wife Majella were given the honour of officially opening the new Community Garden at The Shrine.
He also performed Christmas shows with the Rathdowney choir in 2016 and 2017 in the Laois town. MORE BELOW PICTURE.

One of Donegal performer's favourite shows was his Christmas special recorded event at The Convention Centre in Dublin in 2017. The show featured the Rathdowney Choir who sang Angel's We Have Heard on High with the Laois group. MORE BELOW VIDEO.
Daniel subsequently released two Christmas songs recorded on the night.
In 2022 he released Oh Lovely Rathdowney, a song written by Rathdowney man Danny Haverty. It featured on Daniel's album release that year called ‘I Wish You Well’.
His Laois 2024 Christmas show is fixed for Sunday, December 1 at 6pm. Tickets will be available from Wednesday, May 1 from the Rathdowney Parish office and that evening at Daniel's concert at the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny.
