James Patrick Kennedy - Abbeyleix

The death took place on Monday, July 31 of James Patrick (Jim) Kennedy of Abbeyleix.

Peacefully at University College Hospital, London, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Antoinette and loving father to sons Patrick, James, Danny, John, Joseph, Michael and daughters Anne, Katie, Alana and Erin. Wonderful grandad to Chloe, Sofia, Isabel, James, Matthew, Maryrose,  Christopher, Olivia, ​​Raphi, Cadhla, and Sheila. Predeceased by his sisters Bridget and Sadie, he will be sadly missed by his brother Richard his son and daughters-in-law, close relatives extended family, neighbours and friends. An Abbeyleix boy at heart. Jim will be deeply missed and always remembered for his love, kindness and humour.

Reposing in the Church of The Most Holy Rosary on Friday, 18th August, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

George O'Connell - Ballybrittas

The death took place on Tuesday, August 15 of George O'Connell of Rose Cottage, formerly of The White House, The Ward, Dublin and Ballybrittas.

Peacefully in the care of staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughters; Michelle, Antoinette, Aisling, sons; Simon, Alan, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren; Ciara, Emily, Keegan, Lena, Maisie, brother; John, sister; Ena, brothers in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. 

Funeral Arrangements later. 

Conor Murray - Portlaoise

The death took place on Sunday, August 13 of Conor Murray of Parnell Crescent, Portlaoise. 

Unexpectedly at his residence. Dearly missed by his loving partner Leanne, his adoring children Bobby, Evie, and Fiadh, his heartbroken mother Siobhan, his brother Sean, sisters Aoife, Kayleigh and Mollie, brother Kevin (Rip). Siobhan's partner Chris, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, cousins and friends.

Reposing at his mum's home at Parnell Crescent on Thursday from 2pm, with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church, for 12 noon requiem Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Br Ciaran Creedon

The death took place on Monday, August 14 of Br Ciaran (Jeremiah) Creedon of De La Salle Brothers, Castletown, and late of Barrathanaknock, Clondrohid, Macroom.

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Hannah, brothers Timothy and John, sister Siobhan and her daughter Mary (Buckley). Deeply regretted by his brother Frank, sister in law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews, extended family, relatives, past pupils, friends and especially by his confreres in religion and the staff in Miguel House.

Reposing in Miguel House this Tuesday, August 15th from 11am with evening prayers and rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 16 at 2pm in the Monastery Chapel with burial immediately afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery.

Edward Broderick - Ballickmoyler

The death took place on Monday, August 14 of Edward (Ned) Broderick of Woodlands House, Ballickmoyler. 

Fondly known as Ned Bruder and formerly of Fallaghmore, Ballyadams. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.  Predeceased by his daughter Julie, parents Molly and Charlie, stepfather Jamesie, brother Louis and sisters Brigid and Breda.  Deeply regretted by his wife Pauline, daughters Mary, Anne, Claire and Una, grandchildren Charlie, Alice, Joshua, Georgia, Jeffrey, Molly, James and Harry, son-in-law Ivan, Mary's partner Willie, Anne's partner John, sisters Madge, Mary Ann and Joan, relatives, kind neighbours and many, many friends.

Reposing at his residence (R93AY67) from 6pm on Tuesday (August 15th) with Rosary on Wednesday evening at 8pm.  Removal on Thursday afternoon to The Church of the Sacred Heart, Arles for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery.

Carol Hanlon - Errill

The death took place on Sunday, August 13 of Carol Hanlon (née Zimmerman) of Castlefleming, Errill and formerly New Zealand.

Peacefully in the care of the staff at Wicklow Hospice. Predeceased by her husband John. Sadly mourned by her family, her father Don, sisters Leonie, Patrice, Michelle and brother Greame, John's son Patrick, nephews, nieces, relatives, wonderful friends and neighbours.

A celebration of Carol's life will take place at 1pm on Friday 18th August at O'Sullivan's Funeral Home, Rathdowney, (R32 NY24) (livestreaming will be available on https://youtube.com/c/AllisonRitchieChurchSinger) and burial in St. Kieran's Cemetery Errill.

Geraldine Dunne - Castletown

The death took place on Wednesday, July 26 of Geraldine Dunne of England and formerly of Castletown.

Predeceased by her father Tim. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her mother Collette, her sons Connor and Robbie, her brothers Larry, Gerry and her twin brother David, her sister Bernie (Gaughan), uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, Geraldine's extened family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Geraldine's funeral service and cremation will take place this Thursday, August 17th in England.
