The Heath 10k will enjoy its fufth running later this month as the hugely popular race returns on January 18.

Having quickly established itself as one of the best 10k races around, numbers have been rising steadily over the last five years, with well over 500 runners toeing the line last year.

Asimilarly big crowd is expected to descend on The Heath this year, with the organisers opting to change things up a bit by reversing the route which has traditionally been used.

While the race will still start and finish outside the clubhouse, this year the runners will first go through Ballydavis before passing through Derrygarron and then, on the home stretch, pass through the grounds of Shaen Hospital, with the famous stone entrance the marking point of the last climb on the route, and the start of the home stretch.

The race begins at 11am on Sunday the 18th, with registration from 9am at the clubhouse. Alternatively, you can register online at www.runireland.com.
