The Heritage Killenard
A luxury Laois hotel and golf resort has confirmed that its spa is temporarily closed, after a fire.
A fire broke out in the spa of the Heritage, Killenard, on Wednesday morning, May 3.
The hotel has issued the following statement.
"We can confirm that there was a small fire in the spa at The Heritage this morning, 3rd May.
"Thanks to the efforts of the firecrews from Portarlington and Monasterevin, it was quickly extinguished,and everyone was evacuated safely.
"The source of the fire is still being investigated. The spa experience and leisure centre are closed for today and we will announce in due course when the facilities will reopen.
"However, the hotel which is located in a separate building is open and its business as usual. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause our guests and members. For guest queries, please contact the hotel on 057 8645500 or email info@theheritage.com. We will post any further updates via our website and social media channels."
