Laois County Council has announced the closure of a busy street in Mountmellick, to allow for road resurfacing works to be carried out.
Works will be carried out along Connolly street, seeing a closure from the Sarsfield Street/Lord Edward St junction to the Davitt road junction.
The road will be closed from 8am to 6pm daily until Friday November 7. Diversions are in place, rerouting through Irishtown and Pearse Street.
