The death has occurred of Pat O’Brien, Tullamoy, Stradbally, Co. Laois, who passed away peacefully on 23 March 2026 at his home, surrounded by his wife and family.
Sadly missed by his wife June, sons Mark and Michael, daughters-in-law Isabell and Cheryl, grandchildren Amy, Dylan, Haley, Josh, Chloe, Jamie, Abbey and Danny, great-grandchildren Ruby and Archie, brothers Kevin and Tony, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, and his many friends.

Reposing at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally, this Tuesday evening from 5pm to 8pm, with recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyadams, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. House private, please.

Michael Larter- Stradbally
The death has occurred of Michael Larter, 11 Courtview, Stradbally, Co Laois, formerly of 4 Doonane Road, Crettyard, Co Carlow.
Michael sadly passed away on March 20, 2026. Predeceased by his mother Mary, father Desmond and niece Danielle.
Michael will be sadly missed by his sisters Mary, Margaret, Samantha, and Lorraine, brother Desmond, brothers-in-law Stephen and Colin, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Marie Tobin, Churchfield Heights, Castletown, and formerly of Woodbrook, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 22nd March 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her father George, mother Alice, brothers George, Anthony and Davy.
Sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
Reposing at her brother Paul and Doreen's home at No. 6 Woodbrook (eircode R32Y897) on Tuesday evening 24th March from 3.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Wednesday morning 25th March to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath eircode R32X338 for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery.

The death took place on Sunday, March 22 of Josephine (Josie) Nolan (née Carroll), Bog Road, Portarlington, Laois
Formerly of St Michael's Park Portarlington County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family while in the tender and loving care of the nurses and staff of Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington. Beloved wife of the late Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving family, adoring grandchildren, brother, sisters, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 5pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9:20am arriving St Michael's Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael's Cemetery, Portarlington.

The death took place on March 19 of Helena Brophy, Clonsilla Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin / Glenageary, Dublin / Laois
Died peacefully in the tender care of Care Choice Nursing Home, Trim, Co.Meath, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents, Michael and Imelda Brophy, sisters Mary (Kelly), Frances (Duff), Sr Catherine O.P. (Kit) and brother Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Bridget (Cuffe), Sinclair (Foster) and brother John, brother-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Reposing at her niece Mary Ruddy's residence, Ballyknocken, Portlaoise Co.Laois (R32DH2X) on Monday March 23rd from 5 pm until 8 pm with rosary at 7 pm. Funeral arriving to St Fintan's Church, Raheen on Tuesday for 12 noon Requiem Mass, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
