The 2024 Arles NS junior infant class
A Laois community is in line for enhance school facilities which focus on special needs education according to local TD.
Seán Fleming TD, Minister of State, has welcomed the approval of a new Special Educational Needs (SEN) classroom and two special education teaching rooms (for one-to-one teaching) for Arles National School.
He said the the works will include the reconfiguration of two existing rooms in the school (a classroom and a resource room) to allow for these new special education facilities.
"It is great news for Arles National School that this approval has now been granted.
"These new facilities will be high-quality and will meet the needs of the children with special educational needs that attend and will attend the school. MORE BELOW PICTURE.
"I want to acknowledge the great work by the Principal, Board of Management, teaching and other staff, parents and the entire school community for their work on this project.
"I now look forward to the project progressing on the ground, so that it will be available for the children that require this facility as soon as possible," said the Fianna Fáil TD.
Parents are told that Arles NS is a Catholic co-educational primary school with a Catholic ethos.
