Death Notices for Laois

The death took place on Saturday, October 5 of John Doheny, Portlaoise Road, Mountrath, Laois

John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, and in the care of staff at Tallaght Hospital Dublin.

Beloved husband of Margaret, and dear father to David, Paul and Carol. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, brothers, sisters, daughter-in-law Karen, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Monday evening (October 7th) from 6pm, concluding with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Tuesday morning October 8 to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, eircode R32EC61, for Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by burial in St Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

John’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.mountrathparish.ie

Judy Keenan - Killanure

The death took place on Friday, October 4 of Judy (Julia) Keenan, Née Graham, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, (late of Killanure, Co. Laois.

In her 95th year, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Joseph (Joe), daughter of the late Julia and Thomas. Sadly missed by her loving and devoted children Mary, Marian, Sheila, Josephine and John, adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a large circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposed at her residence Sunday from 2pm to 8pm, removal Monday to S.S. Peter & Paul's church Balbriggan arriving for 11am funeral mass, thereafter to S.S. Peter & Paul's cemetery Balbriggan.

Brigid Holohan - Mountmellick / Mountrath

The death took place on Thursday, October 3 of Brigid Holohan (née Maher), Davin Park Mountmellick and formerly Patrick Street Mountrath.

Died at home in the company of her loving family.

Loving daughter of the late Michael and Alice Maher.

Deeply regretted by her husband Peter and her sons and daughters Paula, Kathleen, Tracy, Peter, Noelle, Andrew and Roisin, sons-in-law Martin, Roberto and Thomas, daughter-in-law Susanne, grandchildren Peter, Eleanor, Sarah, Rosa, Roberto, Cormac, Niamh, Fionn, Jamie and Michael, greatgrandchildren Kevin, Leah, David (Junior), Penny, Dillon, Ava, Evan, Fiadgh and Luca, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Reposed in her home (R32VK10) on Saturday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm, and on Sunday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm.

Removal from her home on Monday at 10.30am to St.Josephs Church arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
