The death occurred of Margaret O’Connell (née Crossan) Capoley, Portlaoise, Laois / Cloneygowan, Offaly on October 2nd 2025 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her husband Michael, daughter Grainne, Son Niall, all her brothers and sisters. Especially by her loving grandchildren Emily, Alex and Ava Rose and her sons in law Darren and Carlos. Brothers in law, sisters in law. nieces, nephews and wide circle of friends. And all her work colleagues and friends at the pharmacy.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral home on this Sunday evening from 5 pm until 6.30pm , with rosary at 6 pm. Removal on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church for 11 am requiem mass. Cremation will follow in Newlands Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the friends of Portlaoise Hospital.
Eamonn Kinsella - Crossneen, Carlow / Laois
The death has occured of Eamonn Kinsella of “Oakwood”, Crossneen, Carlow, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 2nd, 2025, at The District Hospital, Carlow.
Beloved husband of the late Brigid, much loved father of Keith, Colm, Brendan, David and the late Paul, adored grandfather of Ava, Jasmine, Breen and Riley and cherished brother of John, Maura, Seamus, Patrick, David, Carie and the late Olive.
He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters-in-law Annie and Emily, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Sunday (October 5th) from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am to St. Clare’s Church, Griaguecullen, arriving for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to The Friends of the District Hospital, Carlow.
Patrick (Paddy) Delaney Coolagh - Clonaslee
The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Delaney Coolagh, Clonaslee on October 2. He died peacefully in his 88th year, in the excellent care of the ICU/Surgical teams of Tullamore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick & Mary, his sisters Kathleen, Maureen, Claire & Breeda, and his daughter-in-law Geraldine.
Dearly loved husband of 63 years to Catherine (nee Gath), loving father of Mary (Brendan), Therese (Vincent), Patrick (Bláthnaid), Cathy (Oliver), Robert, Geraldine (Fergus), Bernie, Richard (Maggie), Joanna (Derek), John (Kelly) & Noel (Megan). Popeye will be deeply missed by his loving grandchildren & great-grandchildren, deeply regretted by his brother Jim, his sisters Teresa, Nancy, Finola, Josie & Del, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & many friends.
Reposing at his residence, on Friday the 3rd of October from 2 - 7pm, with Rosary at 7pm. Reposing at his residence, on Saturday the 4th of October from 1 - 4pm. Catherine Purcell - Errill, Laois / Borris-in-Ossory
The death has occurred peacefully of Catherine (Lena) Purcell (née Flanagan), Garryduff, Errill, and Borris-in-Ossory on October 2 surrounded by her loving family at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Davey and son-in-law Paddy.
Lena will be sadly missed by her children, Robert, Maura (Grey), Kay (Moore), Michael and Grace (Smith), daughters-in-law Freda and Geraldine, sons-in-law Pat and Bryan, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Guilfoyle's Funeral Home, Castletown, (Eircode R32TN84) this Friday evening (Oct 3rd) from 6pm to 8pm with prayers at 8pm.
Funeral Mass on Saturday morning (Oct 4th) at 10am in the Church of the Assumption, Killasmeestia, followed by interment in Clomeen Cemetery, Garryduff, Errill (R32C5Y4).
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Mount Carmel Nursing Home, Roscrea for their care and kindness to Lena and a special thanks to the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Nora Twomey - Portlaoise
The death has occurred of Nora (Noreen) Twomey (née Keating) Renard, Cahersiveen, Co Kerry formerly of Ballina, Portlaoise, on Wednesday, 1st October, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Valentia Community Hospital.
Loving mother to Gerard, Michael, Anne Marie (Wragg) and Eugene. Predeceased by her husband Michael.
Nora will be very sadly missed by her much loved grandchildren, Clochan, Lewis, Sam, Ellie, Ewan and Ben, her daughter-in-law Faith and son-in-law Steve, niece, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Chris Carroll - Stradbally
The Death has occurred of the Chris (John) Carroll, Rathfarnham, Dublin and formerly Stradbally on September 30, unexpectedly.
Beloved husband of Fidelma and loving Dad of Ronan, Alan, David and Ross. He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters-in-law Rebecca, Catherine, Dorinda and Karen, his eleven loving grandchildren Charley, Áine, Maebh, Caoimag, Philip, Hazel, Isla, Caleb, Harvey, Ella and Keira, brothers Ned and Noel, sisters Angela and Pat, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
