Pauline Flanagan at a local election count in Portlaoise
A former Laois General Election candidate is the new the national events organiser for the Fianna Fáil Women’s Network.
Pauline Flanagan, who lives in Portlaoise, was elected as National Events Director at the FF Women’s Network Conference, held in Mullingar on Saturday, November 26. There were four candidates running for this position.
Ms Flanagan said the role of National Events Director, involves organising national and regional networking events that are of interest to women, as well as encouraging women to put themselves forward for political positions within the party.
Ms Flanagan said she was delighted and she looks forward to working with the new Fianna Fáil Women’s Officer Board throughout 2023.
In addition to lecturing full-time at South East Technological University (SETU) Pauline Flanagan volunteers in an extensive array of positions in Laois including, board member and Secretary for Laois Volunteer Centre, Board member and Secretary for Youth Work Ireland Laois, Board member and Secretary for Laois Traveller Action Group, PRO and active member of Portlaoise GAA Mothers ‘n Others, PRO for Laois Integration Network.
Ms Flanagan was also elected Women’s Officer at the Laois Fianna Fáil CDC AGM held recently in Laois.
She is a former Laois County Councillor and was one of three Fianna Fáil candidates in Laois Offaly at the 2020 General Election.
