There are traffic delays for Laois drivers this month, on the busy N80 Portlaoise to Mountmellick road.
A traffic light stop-go system is in place on the road, near Kyletalesha landfill.
The delays began in early August and will continue for up to another 8 days until August 24 at 6pm, Laois County Council has stated on its website.
It is to allow surveying works to be done on the road, ahead of road repairs.
"Murphy Surveys Ltd are currently carrying out a survey on behalf of Laois County Council to advance a design for repairs to the road on the N80 Mountmellick Rd at Kyletalesha," a council roads official has confirmed.
