Pictured: local mother Mary Madden
Rathdowney and Errill have been left in shock and sadness following the sudden passing of a much loved local mother.
Mary Madden (née Donnelly) of Clonmeen, Errill passed away peacefully at her residence on July 14.
Originally from Portlaw in Waterford, Mary was known locally for her sense of humour, her generosity, her down to earth demeanour, and the love she had for her family.
An active member of the community, Mary gave her time and support to the running of events locally through Rathdowney's Events Committee, and was a well known figure in Rathdowney and Errill.
Those who knew Mary knew of the love she had for her family, including her husband Larry, her children Aidan, Carmel, Lorcán, Maria, Michael and Colm, and her grand children and great grand children.
While the community mourns her sad passing, Mary is survived by her wide circle of friends, her neighbours, and her family that she loved dearly.
