Council announces 24 hour roadworks  on busy N80 road in Portlaoise

Laois County Council is advising motorists of continuous roadworks between the Cedar Clinic and Rossleighan Soccer Club on the Mountmellick Road in Portlaoise for over a month beginning next week. 

The Council say traffic management will be in place ‘daily, Monday to Friday, 24 Hours per day works for new sewer works to connect housing development beside the Cedar Clinic” from Monday, February 16 to Friday, March 20. 

The temporary traffic management is to connect the sewer to the new estate being built beside the Cedar Clinic roundabout called Cedar Woods.

The new housing development will provide 50 social homes for Laois County Council tenants, and it is due to be completed by Christmas 2026.
